In need of plates!

When I moved out with my fiance in March I had purchased a set of plates and bowls for a good price on sale at Walgreens. Well, after after many washes in the dishwasher, the plates and bowls have begun to crack and break. I do not entertain anyone at dinner right now but I would still like nice plates.
Only thing is that the nicer ones have a heftier price also. I do like these from target though. These are nice as well. I guess I'd like something white but with a not-too-girly design.
